John Krafcik, CEO of the driverless car company Waymo, loves to drive too.

In Self-Driving Cars: Have We Completely Lost Our Minds?, I did receive some justifiable blowback over my comments about my personal love for driving. Well, ‘love for driving’ under certain, very specific conditions which I describe in more detail in the essay.

Without a doubt, driverless cars are going to be a factor in the future. However, one of the obstacles to adoption is that many people really love to drive. As it turns out, that includes no less than the CEO of Waymo — yes, that Waymo, the driverless car company — who loves to drive as well.

And he has pretty good taste in cars in my estimation. ~TCG
