First, thank you so much for taking time to read The Arrow. I loved researching and writing the story and I’m humbled by the favourable reception it has received. It makes me think that there are many who feel things may have turned out differently if the project had continued.

On the subject of lack of foresight I, too, lament the lack of long term thinking that is an inevitable consequence of elections held every few years. In fact, partly as a result of The Arrow I began to think about how big, audacious projects ever get done. My conclusion, sadly, is that it’s nothing more than random chance. I wrote the weirdly-titled Shooting Craps with the Grandkids Cash on just that subject.
